Thrilled to have you back. If you didn't already know, Drop 2 Drop is a sneaker showdown that involves you, our sneaker fam, to pick a winner with just a tap. And boy are the results surprising.
This week’s Drop 2 Drop was really something, cause we had an awesome line-up featured on Insta for you guys. We have broken down the polls below.
Both kicks from PUMA are fresh takes on retro styles for the modern era. Sleek, iconic silhouettes that pair exceptionally well with PUMA fits, especially the tracksuits. The Future Rider triumphed by a landslide with 63% against the Style Rider at 37%. The vibrant colorway is catchy. No cap.
Clean black kicks are a wardrobe essential. A no-brainer, no doubt. But you ain’t a layman. True sneakerheads can look beyond the appearance and recognize these icons. Vans and Converse are powerhouses in the streetwear sector. But this time the Old Skool 36 DX just very slightly edged a win on the Chuck Taylor All Star Core Hi Shoe - 59% to 41%. Tbh, can you REALLY pick between the two OGs?
A clash of the titans folks. On one side we have the Ozweego, which embodies ‘retro icon’ in every element of its silhouette with its EVA midsole and adiprene+ cushioning that’ll keep you going for hours. On the other side we have the Air Max React 270, a beast of cushioning, featuring both the responsive React foam and the signature Air Max heel. With a 62% to 38%, our guess is that it was the icy heel that did the trick for the Air Max React 270.
Both inspired by the goddess of victory. Both symbols of streetwear. Both feature the trademark transparent Air Max unit. It was a tough call on this one. Stay true to the old school? Or embrace the future? The results were pretty much similar. The Air Max 90 got a 52% over the 2090 which was at 48%. No school like the old school eh?
That’s our list for the week. Thanks for voting, and if you didn’t, get to it on our insta @dropkickhq. See ya next week!
