DROP 2 DROP: THE VERSUS SERIES | WEEK 6

DROP 2 DROP: THE VERSUS SERIES | WEEK 6

Bringing you week 6 of sneaker wars with all the excitement and joy as the first. Hope you are loving this competition as much as we are.

If you STILL aren’t familiar with this, The Drop 2 Drop is a sneaker showdown that involves you, our sneaker fam, to pick a winner with just a tap.
This week we lined up some new battles for you to relish. Here’s how it went.

CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR LOVE FEARLESSLY SHOE
VS
CHUCK 70 LOVE FEARLESSLY HI SHOE

Drop 2 Drop, Dropkick - Converse Love Fearlessly Shoe

How do you choose love? With a tap; first people and now kicks too. Both the Converse high-tops classics are bold statements of positivity. However, ya’ll deemed the Chuck 70 better by a large 61% in comparison to the All-Star at 39%.

ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG SHOE
VS
GEL-NANDI SHOE

Drop 2 Drop, Dropkick - Asics GEL-LYTE II & GEL-NANDI SHOE

Gotta hand it to asics for their brilliant combination of running tech and style. Both look real functional but there can only be one winner. Ya’ll chose the leather GEL-LYTE III as the victor, 70% to 30% against the GEL-NANDI. The teal must’ve sealed the deal.

NIKE AIR MAX VERONA SHOE

Drop 2 Drop, Dropkick - Nike Air Verona Shoe

The Air Max engineered specifically for women. Verona has had quite the talk when it came out. It does have a subtle charm to it, ngl. The pink-white combo had pulled ahead of the all-pink colourway by 65% to 35%. A good choice.

AIR JORDAN 1 LOW SE SHOE

Drop 2 Drop, Dropkick - Air Jordan 1 Low SE Shoe

Jays never go outta fashion, that’s for sure. The low-top stays fresh with added convenience of wearing. Though J1s are best worn in red, the blue took the top spot between the two with a large 71% margin. Sorry Olive-green. Next time.

ADIDAS ORIGINALS SUPERSTAR SHOE

Drop 2 Drop, Dropkick - adidas Originals Superstar Shoe

Iconic. Enough said. Superstars have always been and presumably will be a streetwear staple. Although best worn in white, among the two, the blue took the top spot again by a small 59% margin this time. Close one green. Next time.

That’s our list for the week. Thanks for voting, and if you didn’t, get to it on our insta @dropkickhq.
See ya next week!
