NIKE X 3M. SCIENCE MEETS STREETWEAR
Going ham with science, making it cool. Gotta hand it to Nike and 3M for pushing boundaries, we are absolutely digging it. (Cue applause in 3).
In one of the first-of-its-kind collabs of science and streetwear, Nike and 3M come together for a limited edition collection of sneakers. Featured here are the Nike x 3M - Air Max 90 Shoe, React Vision Premium Shoe, Air Force 1 '07 SE Shoe and Air Force 1 '07 LV8 Shoe.
To get a little geeky, retroreflection occurs when light rays are returned in the direction from which they came. Meaning, the Swoosh is brightest to the observer located near the original light source.
On to the shoes. Expect all the goodness of the OG Air Force 1s, now reinforced with a shimmering, retroreflective swoosh and further tiny Nike details that combine for a strut-worthy sneaker.
The React Vision gets a premium upgrade as well, featuring similar 3M Swoosh elements as those mentioned above. The big add is that it’s also part of D/MS/X, an outlier take on street fashion; which shows on its breath-taking upper.
The Air Max 90 stays true to its roots. But instead of the shine, the Swoosh is padded by a robust, insulated material that is sure to peak interest from on-lookers. The forefoot has got a quilted appearance that is light and durable.
