The Sk8-Hi entered the sneaker world in `76 (just after Era`s launch) and took the streets by storm. After all, it had everything that the skateboarding fam was looking for in a shoe – more padding, better comfort, leather-and-canvas for durability, and most importantly, ankle protection. The mix of high-top, padded design with the famous `jazz stripe` or sidestripe quickly made Sk8-Hi popular among skaters.
